Carries coolant between two points in the circuit while allowing for engine movement.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

  • Coolant weeping or dripping at either clip
  • Hose gone soft, spongy or swollen
  • Cracks or crazing in the outer surface, usually at a bend
  • Hose collapsing when the engine is running
  • Ends split or ballooned where they sit on their stubs

🛠️ Service Notes

  • Renew both clips with the hose, and check the stubs for corrosion before fitting
  • Refill and bleed the cooling system afterwards, then check the joints again once the engine has been up to temperature
