🔧 Product Description

Genuine Volvo Penta 2 micron filter element for the fuel filter and water separator housings 877771, 889280 and 889281, weighing 0.528 kg. Housing 889280, the twin see-through-bowl unit for twin diesel installations, is listed in this same run. The element supersedes 3831224, catalogued earlier as a filter insert, so an older works list calling for a filter insert under that number is asking for this element. The 2 micron rating is the finest of the three offered for these housings, and is what has to be confirmed before ordering.

⚙️ Key Features

  • 2 micron - the finest of the three ratings offered for these housings
  • For housings 877771, 889280 and 889281
  • Housing 889280 is the twin separator listed in this run
  • 0.528 kg

🔌 Function

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

  • Power loss or hunting under load as the element blocks
  • Water carrying past into the fuel
  • Element visibly dirty, swollen or collapsed
  • Fuel weeping past the element seal
  • Hard starting after the boat has stood

🛠️ Service Notes

  • Fit the micron rating the installation calls for - this is the 2 micron element, and Volvo Penta's recommended elements for these housings are the coarser two
  • Renew the seals with the element and prime the system before starting
  • Three ratings are offered for these housings - 10, 30 and 2 micron - so confirm the rating the installation calls for
