Genuine Mercury EZ Shift Control-Cable Latch - Part Number: 889529

A genuine Mercury control-cable latch used with the later EZ Shift rigging system on selected 75HP, 90HP and 115HP four-stroke outboards.

The latch secures the throttle or shift cable barrel within the engine-mounted anchor bracket. It is assembled in different positions depending on the 75HP / 90HP or 115HP linkage configuration.

🔌 Function

The latch locks the control-cable barrel into its anchor cup while allowing the cable inner wire to move. Secure barrel retention is required for accurate and safe throttle and shift operation.
