🔧 Product Description
Genuine Volvo Penta worm from the Steering group, weighing 0.018 kg. It replaces part number 875352, and worm gear 897662 in this same listing replaces the same number, so a job quoted against 875352 may need both.

🔌 Function
Turns with the steering input and drives the worm gear, giving the reduction between the wheel and the steering mechanism.
⚠️ Common Signs of Failure
- Free play at the wheel before the steering responds
- Steering stiff or tight at one point in its travel
- Worm thread worn, pitted or picked up
- Grease dried out or contaminated with water
- Grinding felt through the wheel as it is turned
🛠️ Service Notes
- Order alongside worm gear 897662 unless the gear is known good, since the two replace the same old number and wear as a pair
