🔧 Product Description
Aftermarket hinge-pin removal and installation tool manufactured as a direct functional replacement for MerCruiser special tool 91-78310. The hardened driver profile engages the threaded hinge pins that connect the bell housing to the gimbal ring, allowing controlled removal during transom-assembly and bellows service.
This is a dedicated sterndrive service tool rather than a general-purpose hex or impact bit. Correct engagement and corrosion-release preparation are important because damaged hinge-pin sockets can make removal substantially more difficult.
