🔧 Product Description

Aftermarket puller-bolt tool replacing discontinued MerCruiser special tool 91-85716. This threaded pulling component is used with the appropriate bearing-carrier puller jaws to remove selected gearcase bearing carriers and bearing races.

The tool is a system component, not a complete stand-alone puller. The required jaws, bridge, reaction hardware and service fixtures must be selected for the specific gearcase.

⚙️ Key Features

• Direct-purpose replacement for the discontinued Mercury puller bolt

• Heavy threaded construction for controlled pulling force

• Used during lower-unit bearing-carrier and bearing-race service

• Reusable specialist gearcase workshop component

📋 Kit Contents

• 1 × Puller bolt - replaces Mercury 91-85716

• Puller jaws and reaction frame not included

🔄 Supersession & Cross Reference

• Mercury/Quicksilver reference: 91-85716 / 85716

• Related Mercury puller-jaw assembly: 46086A1

• No separately numbered major-brand equivalent was verified; aftermarket versions are normally sold under the OEM reference

🚤 Compatibility

• Selected MerCruiser and Mercury gearcases calling for puller bolt 91-85716

• Use with the correct bearing-carrier puller jaws, including 46086A1 where specified

• Exact application depends on gearcase model, carrier design and service-manual tooling

• Not a universal slide-hammer bolt

🔌 Function

Transfers pulling force from the service-tool frame to the bearing-carrier or bearing-race removal fixture. It allows the carrier to be withdrawn straight from the gearcase housing while reducing the risk of housing damage from hammering or uneven levering.

📦 Condition

• Brand-new aftermarket replacement puller bolt

• Supplied as one tool component only

• Inspect threads, lubricate as specified and do not exceed the service-tool load procedure
