🔌 Function

Admits grease to the belt tensioner's pivot bearing and seals it against dirt and water afterwards.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

  • Tensioner pivot stiff, squealing or slow to take up slack
  • Grease gun will not take at the nipple
  • Nipple sheared or the thread pulled in the tensioner arm
  • Belt running loose or flapping because the tensioner has seized

🛠️ Service Notes

  • If the tensioner pivot is already stiff, greasing through a new nipple will not free it and the tensioner itself should be checked
