A genuine Yamaha large-diameter O-ring used to seal the propeller-shaft bearing carrier in selected 150HP to 300HP lower units.


The O-ring prevents water entry and gear-lubricant loss around the outer circumference of the bearing carrier.

🔌 Function


The O-ring seals the bearing carrier against the lower-unit housing and prevents water or gear oil from passing around the carrier.


Common signs of failure:


• Gear oil leaks around the carrier perimeter

• Lower-unit oil becomes milky

• Corrosion develops in the carrier bore

• Gearcase will not hold pressure or vacuum

• O-ring is damaged during carrier removal
