⚙️ Key Features

  • Mounted in the oil hole for the camshaft
  • Supersedes 984966
  • 0.003 kg
  • 22 applications across the AQ, TWD, TID, TD and TAD series

🔌 Function

Blanks off the camshaft oil drilling so oil is directed along the gallery instead of escaping at the end of the hole.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

  • Low or erratic oil pressure, particularly when hot
  • Oil weeping from the end of the camshaft drilling
  • Plug found loose, pushed out or missing on strip-down
  • Noisy valve gear from oil not reaching the top of the engine

🛠️ Service Notes

  • A plug that has moved will drop oil pressure without leaving an external leak, so check it before condemning the pump
  • Clean the bore thoroughly before fitting a new plug, as any debris left behind will stop it seating
