⚙️ Key Features

• 12 V, 16 A
• 0.002 kg
• 37 applications across MD, TMD, TAMD, AD, TD and D engines
• Supersedes 3556337 and 848653

🔌 Function

Protects its circuit by melting and breaking the connection before the wiring can overheat under an overload or short.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Circuit completely dead while everything around it works
• Element visibly parted, or the body blackened inside
• Blade or end cap corroded or discoloured
• Replacement blowing straight away, which points to a fault in the circuit itself
• Holder running warm or its clips heat-marked

🛠️ Service Notes

• Never substitute a higher rating to stop it blowing - the fuse is the only thing protecting that wiring, and the fault has to be found
• Take care over the superseded numbers: this one replaces 3556337 while the other fuse in this run replaces 3556336, one digit apart
• Clean the holder clips; a corroded contact runs hot and kills sound fuses
