Genuine Volvo Penta gasket supplied as part of the fuel injector, weighing 0.002 kg and listed for 162 applications across the D, TD, AQ, TMD, TWD and TID series. It supersedes 876275 and 876274. Both of those old numbers are also replaced by gasket 947281 in this run, and 876274 by gasket 947620 as well, which usually means the old number is answered by a set of current gaskets rather than by any one of them alone.

🔌 Function

Seals the injector to the cylinder head and sets its standing height in the bore.

  • Combustion blow-by, sooting or a black ring around the injector
  • Chuffing or puffing heard at the injector with the engine running
  • Gasket flattened hard, distorted or bedded into the head
  • Injector standing proud of or sitting low in its bore
  • Hard starting or a misfire on the affected cylinder

  • Fit a new gasket every time an injector is removed, and never stack two to make up height
  • Clean the injector seat in the head thoroughly — carbon left in the bore holds the injector off its seat
  • Check what your injector or overhaul kit already contains before ordering loose
