⚙️ Key Features

• 0.016 kg
• 26 applications on MD and D series engines
• The other snap rings in this block publish no weight, so no comparison is possible
• Order by part number
• 2 used per assembly

🔌 Function

Sits in a machined groove and holds a shaft or bore assembly axially in place.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Axial play where the assembly should be captive
• Ring found out of its groove in the housing
• Cracked ring or a broken eye
• Groove edge worn or rolled over
• Knock or rattle from the assembly under load

🛠️ Service Notes

• Use snap ring pliers of the right size — forcing the ring open past the groove diameter ruins its grip
• Fit new rather than reusing a ring that has been removed

📦 Condition

• Brand new
• Supplied in original or equivalent packaging
