🔌 Function

Locks the folding propeller blade assembly in the hub, clamping the hub components together.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Propeller blades slack or rattling on the hub
• Head recess rounded out so a key no longer bites
• Corrosion or marine growth packed into the socket
• Screw backing out under load
• Thread stripped in the hub

🛠️ Service Notes

• Order in threes for the three-blade propeller and in fours for the four-blade
• The blade kit supplies the hex key for this locking screw, and the hub kit supplies the screws themselves, so check both before ordering loose fasteners
• Propeller hub fasteners work in a corrosive, vibrating environment and are worth renewing rather than reusing
