🔌 Function

Common signs of failure:

• Intermittent ignition
• Engine stalls when warm
• Backfiring during starting
• Misfire at high rpm
• Engine will not achieve full advance
• Trigger leads are damaged
• Trigger output is below specification
• Sport Jet engine loses ignition synchronisation
Recommended checks before installation:
• Confirm A18 or T18 on the original trigger
• Test each trigger circuit
• Check switchboxes or ignition modules
• Inspect the stator and flywheel
• Confirm trigger-arm movement
• Route wires clear of rotating components
• Verify maximum timing after installation
📦 Condition
• Genuine Mercury or Mariner used part
• Pre-owned electrical component
• Cosmetic marks and wire ageing may be present
• Electrical testing before installation is strongly recommended
