Sets and holds the correct standoff between the flexplate and the flywheel so the bolts clamp to a fixed dimension rather than pulling the plate out of shape.

  • Knocking or rumble from the flywheel end under load
  • Flexplate cracked around the bolt holes
  • Bolts found slack or their holes elongated
  • Sleeve bruised, burred or picked up on its faces

  • Check the flexplate for cracks radiating from the bolt holes while it is off, a failed sleeve rarely leaves the plate undamaged
