Full model list at the end of this description.

⚙️ Key Features

  • 0.034 kg
  • Supersedes 961656
  • 120 applications across six engine series
  • Barbed hose spigot
  • Quantity varies by assembly, most commonly one

🔌 Function

Forms the rigid spigot a hose pushes onto, giving the clamp a barbed shoulder to seal the hose against.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

  • Seepage or drips where the hose meets the spigot
  • Barb ridges flattened, corroded or pitted
  • Hose creeping off or found loose on the spigot
  • Cracked or damaged thread at the mounting end
  • Crusted residue or staining around the joint

🛠️ Service Notes

  • Fit a new hose and clamp at the same time - a barb that has cut a groove into an old hose will not reseal
  • 976958 is an elbow nipple carrying the same 0.034 kg published weight, so check the shape and the number rather than the mass
