976041 O-Ring | Genuine Volvo Penta Part

🔧 Product Description

Genuine Volvo Penta o-ring weighing 0.016 kg and listed for 29 applications on D series engines. It supersedes part number 3588436, which is also replaced by o-ring 976051, so the two rings are normally supplied together against an order raised on the old number rather than as alternatives to each other.

🚤 Compatibility

• Engine Family: D
• HP Range: 145-480 HP

⚙️ Key Features

• 0.016 kg
• Supersedes 3588436
• Ordered alongside 976051 against the old number
• 29 applications on D series engines

🔌 Function

Seals a static joint between two parts so fluid or pressure cannot pass across the face.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Weeping or a damp film at the sealed joint
• Ring flattened or glazed, having taken a permanent set
• Splits, nicks or a spiral twist along the ring
• Fluid or pressure falling away with no other visible source

🛠️ Service Notes

• 3588436 was consolidated into two current rings, this one and 976051 - if an old parts list calls for 3588436, expect to need both
• 976014 is the other 0.016 kg o-ring in this group, so order by number rather than weight
