⚙️ Key Features

  • 1200 mm long
  • For engines with a separate fan bracket
  • 0.088 kg
  • Supersedes 22348978
  • 12 applications across D, TAD and MD series engines
  • L=1200mm (Volvo assembly listing)

🔌 Function

Transmits drive from the crankshaft pulley to the ancillaries, gripping on its flanks rather than its base.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

  • Squeal on start-up or when the load comes on
  • Glazed flanks, or cracking across the underside
  • Belt run slack and flapping between pulleys
  • Coolant temperature climbing as the fan drive slips
  • Rubber dust beneath the pulleys

🛠️ Service Notes

  • The separate fan bracket is what decides this belt - an engine with the fan carried on a different mounting takes another length, so confirm the arrangement before ordering
  • Check the fan bracket bearing and the pulley alignment at the same time; a misaligned bracket wears a belt out on one flank
