🔧 Product Description
Genuine Volvo Penta hollow screw with an M14 thread, 42 mm long, weighing 0.039 kg and listed for 58 applications across TAD, TD, TWD, D, THD and DH engines. It consolidates three earlier numbers — 422815, 479353 and 422816 — so any of those on an old parts list is now covered by this one. The M14 x 42 size is what identifies it.
🚤 Compatibility
- Engine Family: TAD, TD, TWD, D, THD, DH, TAMD

⚙️ Key Features
- M14 thread, 42 mm long
- Fits 58 applications across TAD, TD, TWD, D, THD and DH engines
- 0.039 kg
- Replaces 422815, 479353 and 422816
🔌 Function
Bolts a banjo union to its port while carrying the fluid through its own drilled centre, so the line feeds through the fastener itself.
⚠️ Common Signs of Failure
- Weeping or dripping at the banjo joint under pressure
- Sealing washer faces on the head or the port scored and pitted
- Centre drilling or cross-holes partly blocked with debris
- Head rounded, or the screw sheared on tightening
- Thread picked up or stripped in the port
🛠️ Service Notes
- Fit new sealing washers both sides of the union — a hollow screw seals on its washers, not on its thread
- Check the centre and cross drillings are clear before fitting; a blocked hollow screw starves whatever the line feeds
- Three earlier numbers now come through as this one part, so a single order covers whichever your list quotes
