Crimps onto a conductor and locks into a connector housing, carrying the circuit through the joint and holding it against vibration.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Intermittent fault or a reading that comes and goes with vibration
• Terminal pushed back out of its position in the housing
• Green or white corrosion on the contact face
• Crimp loose on the wire, or strands broken at the barrel
• Contact face burnt, blackened or discoloured from a hot joint

• Check the housing latch as well as the terminal — a terminal that has backed out usually means the locking tang is bent or broken
• Crimp with the correct tool for the terminal rather than soldering; a soldered joint goes brittle where it flexes
