🔧 Product Description

Genuine Volvo Penta spacer sleeve weighing 0.07 kg and listed for 28 applications on the TAD series. Three spacer sleeves appear in this run - this one, 979138 and 980935 - and none of them publish a bore or length, so weight cannot be used to work out which is which; order by engine and part number.

🚤 Compatibility

  • Engine Family: TAD

Full model list at the end of this description.

⚙️ Key Features

  • 0.07 kg
  • Listed for 28 applications on the TAD series
  • Bore and length are not published - order by part number
  • Spacer sleeves 979138 and 980935 are the others listed here

🔌 Function

Holds a fixed gap between two components so the fastener passing through it can be torqued fully without crushing what it clamps.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

  • Fastener losing torque and the joint working loose
  • Sleeve found scored, picked up or worn oval at the bore
  • Ends burred or peened over from movement in the joint
  • Corrosion between sleeve and bolt seizing the two together

🛠️ Service Notes

  • Measure the old sleeve or order against the engine - the listings for the three sleeves here give no dimensions to compare
  • Check the faces the sleeve bears against for pull-in or distortion before reassembly

  • Genuine Volvo Penta part
  • Brand new
  • Supplied in original or equivalent packaging
