🔧 Product Description

Genuine Volvo Penta hose nipple weighing 0.102 kg and listed for 33 applications across TAMD, AD, D, TMD, KAD and KAMD series engines. It supersedes 843879, which was catalogued earlier as an elbow nipple, so an older parts list showing an elbow at that number now points to this part.

🔌 Function

Forms a threaded union between a hose and a housing, so the line can be connected and broken without disturbing the casting.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Weeping or dripping at the threaded joint
• Oil trail running down from the union
• Thread corroded, stripped or cross-cut
• Hose tail scored or corroded so the hose will not seal on it

🛠️ Service Notes

• Check the shape against the fitting you removed, as the superseded number was listed as an elbow
• Renew the sealing washer or o-ring at the same time rather than reusing the old one
