⚙️ Key Features

• 0.034 kg
• 6 applications on D series engines
• Supersedes 974678, formerly listed as a hollow screw

🔌 Function

Clamps the joint together, holding the mating faces tight in service.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Weeping or seepage at the joint the screw secures
• Screw working loose, with fretting marks around the head
• Thread picked up, galled or stripped on removal
• Head corroded or its drive rounded so a tool slips

🛠️ Service Notes

• The number it replaces was listed as a hollow screw, so check what the screw coming out actually does before ordering. A hollow screw carries fluid through it and its sealing faces have to be renewed with it
• The fitment list is short, so confirm the application against the engine's parts list
