⚠️ Common Signs of Failure
- Weeping at the fitting once it has been disturbed
- Ferrule deformed or split
- Pipe end scored where the ferrule bit in
- Fitting will no longer pull up tight
🛠️ Service Notes
- A ferrule bites into the pipe when it is first made up and will not reseal on a second fit - use a new one every time the joint is broken
- Check the pipe end for the old bite mark and cut it back if the fitting still will not seal
