⚙️ Key Features
- 0.023 kg
- 13 applications across the TAD and TADH series
- No published thread size or bore
🔌 Function
Joins two parts so one can rotate relative to the other without the connection or the line between them being wound up.
⚠️ Common Signs of Failure
- Stiff, notchy or seized rotation where it should turn freely
- Weeping or seeping at the swivel joint if it carries fluid
- Play, rock or rattle developing at the joint
- Corrosion or pitting on the swivelling faces
🛠️ Service Notes
- Check the swivel turns freely before fitting it; stiffness at this stage will not improve once it is under load
- Align the parts it joins before tightening, rather than letting the swivel take up a sideways load
- If it carries fluid, check the sealing faces are clean and undamaged before assembly, and confirm there is no weeping once the joint is under pressure
