9996683 Washer | Genuine Volvo Penta Part

🔧 Product Description

Genuine Volvo Penta tool-set washer weighing 0.138 kg, grouped under Special Tools. It consolidates two earlier numbers, 9992954 and 9992668, which were catalogued as a tool rather than as a washer. Note that 9992668 is also superseded by pressure gauge 9996685, so that old number now maps onto two current items and ordering one of them alone may leave the set short.

⚙️ Key Features

• Tool-set washer, 0.138 kg
• Consolidates 9992954 and 9992668, catalogued earlier as a tool
• 9992668 is also superseded by pressure gauge 9996685 - check whether both are needed
• Grouped under Special Tools

🔌 Function

Spreads the load of the tool screw or nut over the component so the clamping force does not bear on a small area.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Faces bruised, dished or no longer parallel
• Bore worn oval or belled out
• Cracks running from the bore to the rim
• Washer cupping under load instead of staying flat

🛠️ Service Notes

• The old 9992668 is covered by this washer and pressure gauge 9996685; check which your procedure calls for before ordering just one
• A dished washer no longer spreads the load - replace it rather than flattening it
