🔧 Product Description
Genuine Volvo Penta adapter 9998674, listed at 0.084 kg. Volvo's own special tools catalogue confirms the designation and names the engines our listing had none for: D11 4f JP, the D13 range from D13B-A MP to D13C7-A MP, the TAD1140 to TAD1172 series and the TAD1340 to TAD1375 series. It is one of the two smallest of the eight adapters in this run alongside 9998665 at 0.05 kg; the eight share a single plain name, so the number quoted in the procedure is what identifies the right one.
⚙️ Key Features
- Listed for D11 4f JP, the D13 range and the TAD1140 and TAD1340 series

- One of the two smallest adapters listed here
- Companion adapter 9998665 is listed at 0.05 kg
🔌 Function
Matches the service tool to the fitting it must work on, so the standard tool can be applied to a connection it does not directly suit.
⚠️ Common Signs of Failure
- Thread or spigot worn, cross-threaded or damaged
- Sealing face scored, so a test joint weeps
- Adapter sitting crooked on the fitting
- Corrosion on the mating surfaces
🛠️ Service Notes
- Adapter 9998248 in the same group is listed against the D11, D12, D13 and D16 ranges instead, so the engine you have is a useful first filter
