9998675 Drift | Genuine Volvo Penta Part

🔧 Product Description

Volvo Penta tool 9998675, listed at 0.832 kg. Volvo's own special tools catalogue designates it a press tool rather than a drift, and names 25 engines for it: D8A1-A MP, D8A4-A, the MDE 5/8 pair, TAD560VE, TAD561VE, TAD734GE, TAD761VE to TAD765VE, TAD840VE to TAD843VE, TAD850VE to TAD853VE and TAD870VE to TAD873VE. Rotation tool 885530 and press tool 88800129 are listed for exactly the same 25 engines, so application will not separate them from this tool.

⚙️ Key Features

• Listed for 25 engines across the D8, MDE 5/8, TAD560 to TAD765 and TAD840 to TAD873 families
• Designated a press tool by Volvo, though listed here under the drift name
• 0.832 kg
• Shares its 25-engine list with 885530 and 88800129 - order by number

🔌 Function

Presses a bearing, bush or seal squarely into or out of its housing under press load, so the component itself is never struck.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Pressing face bruised or picked up
• Struck end mushroomed if it has been hammered rather than pressed
• Tool bent, so it wanders as load comes on
• Cracks at a change of section

🛠️ Service Notes

• Our listing name and Volvo's designation differ - the tools catalogue calls 9998675 a press tool
• Press tool 9998673 covers these same 25 engines plus TAD752GE, TAD753GE and TAD754GE
