🚤 Compatibility & Application
• Mackay marine trailers and custom trailers requiring the exact axle geometry stated
• Measure hub face, spring centres, beam section, brake-mount position and chassis clearance before ordering
• Axle capacity is determined by the complete engineered assembly—not beam size alone
• Brake configuration must comply with current trailer ATM and road regulations
• After installation, set wheel-bearing preload, wheel-nut torque, brake adjustment and alignment to specification
🔌 Function
Carries the trailer load between the suspension and wheel hubs while maintaining wheel alignment; braked versions also provide the mounting and rotating components required to apply trailer braking.
Common signs of wear, damage or replacement required:
• Axle beam or stub is bent, cracked or heavily corroded
• Tyres wear unevenly or the trailer no longer tracks straight
• Bearing journals are scored, pitted or undersize
• Hub face or brake mounts have excessive runout
• Spring seats, welds or overlay sections are loose or damaged
