šŸ”§ Product Description

Mackay 7-Leaf Load-Sharing Rear Spring 60 Ɨ 720mm – Part Number: A1625RG

A position-specific rear spring for Mackay tandem load-sharing suspension. The 7-leaf spring pack is approximately 60mm wide and 720mm long and is designed to work with the corresponding rocker/equaliser arrangement so load is shared between the tandem axles. Front, centre and rear spring references must remain in their nominated positions because the eye, slipper, offset and camber geometry can differ.

āš™ļø Key Features

  • 7-leaf load-sharing spring pack
  • Rear suspension position
  • 60mm nominal width
  • 720mm nominal length
  • Zinc-Tech/Dacromet-style corrosion-resistant finish
  • Designed for tandem load-sharing suspension

šŸ“ Specifications

  • Leaf count: 7
  • Width: 60mm
  • Nominal length: 720mm
  • Position: Rear
  • Load capacity is governed by the complete matched spring set and trailer design

šŸ”„ Cross Reference & Related Parts

  • Mackay: A1625RG
  • Related complete spring set: Mackay A1625GK 7-leaf
  • Load-share front/rear hanger: Mackay A1667N
  • Centre rocker hanger: Mackay A1668N
  • 60mm spring hardware must be selected for the matching Mackay suspension

🚤 Trailer Compatibility & Application

  • Suitable only for the nominated position in the matching Mackay load-sharing suspension
  • Do not substitute front, centre and rear springs solely because leaf count and overall length appear similar
  • Axle spacing, rocker-arm geometry and spring offset must match the original trailer

šŸ”Œ Function

Works with the tandem equaliser/rocker system to support the trailer and distribute load between adjacent axles as the wheels travel over uneven surfaces.

āš ļø Common Signs of Failure

  • One axle carries visibly more load than the other
  • Trailer sits unevenly
  • Leaves crack or shift
  • Spring eye, slipper or centre connection is worn
  • Rocker arm reaches an abnormal angle
  • Tyre wear indicates poor tandem load distribution

šŸ› ļø Installation & Safety

  • Identify and mark the original spring position before removal
  • Support both tandem axles and the trailer frame
  • Inspect the rocker arm, hangers, bushes and bolts
  • Replace position-matched springs across the affected axle group
  • Check tandem axle alignment after installation
  • Recheck all spring and U-bolt fasteners after the first loaded trip

šŸ“¦ Condition

  • Genuine Mackay Trailers part
  • Brand new
  • Supplied as one rear 7-leaf load-sharing spring
