The replacement SeaStar HP5826 oil cooler cools the hydraulic fluid in the engine driven power steering system. The heat exchanger requires a minimum 18 GPM rate of water flow but operates best around 27 GPM which is common flow for a crankshaft mounted seawater pump. This cooler's working pressure is 100psi and provides at 6.25kW or 8.4hp of cooling at minimum parameters.
