A genuine used matched carburettor assembly for 1979 Johnson and Evinrude 150HP V6 crossflow outboard motors.

This complete assembly comprises the dedicated upper, middle and lower two-barrel carburettors supplied together on the associated intake and reed plate assembly. Each carburettor is calibrated for its specific position and should remain installed in the correct upper, middle or lower location.

Supplying the three carburettors together helps retain matching throttle-shaft geometry, choke linkage, jetting and fuel delivery across all six cylinders.

🔌 Function

The three carburettors meter and distribute the correct fuel-and-air mixture to the six engine cylinders. The upper, middle and lower carburettors work together through a synchronised throttle and choke linkage to provide consistent idle, acceleration and wide-open-throttle operation.

The reed plate assembly controls the direction of the incoming fuel-and-air charge, allowing the mixture to enter the crankcase while preventing reverse flow back through the carburettors.
