A 7-degree wet-seal exhaust elbow for MerCruiser GM V6, small-block V8 and selected big-block V8 engines using the 44354 / 807988 service family. It has a 4-inch outlet and is used on pre-dry-joint exhaust systems.

🔌 Function


The elbow turns exhaust leaving the water-jacketed manifold and introduces cooling water into the 4-inch wet-exhaust outlet.


Common signs of failure:


• External corrosion, cracking or pin-hole leakage

• Internal carbon, rust or salt restriction

• Cooling water entering the manifold, turbocharger or cylinders

• Steam, reduced cooling-water discharge or an abnormally hot exhaust hose

• Loss of power caused by excessive exhaust back-pressure
